We're half way through the series already, although with no short races yet and with two of the three races being long, people who prefer the longer stuff have benefitted so far.
Everyone has to do at least one more race (a short race for most categories), but some categories have an overwhelming favourite, such as Angela Mudge (O/40 & O/50), Veronique Oldham (O/55), Jocelyn Scott (O/65), Andy Fallas (O/40), Andrew Macrae (O/50) & Roderick Pugh (O/65). In fact in the men's Over 40, it looks like you have to be called Andrew and run for Carnethy to get on the podium (although doesn't seem to work for me these days!).
in the other categories, the current leader could be overtaken by runners who have only done 1 or 2 races so far, if these runners do the rest of the races.
Carnethy look favourites to win both male team categories but the female category leaders could change depending which clubs turn out for the remaining races.
