Meall a Bhuachaille Race 2024

107 runners started and finished this year's Meall a Bhuachaille race.  Conditions were dry and mainly sunny, though windy all the way along the ridge.   In the Open race, John Yells (HHR) pulled away from the rest of the field early on and continued to run strongly and win comfortably in a very good time of 1:06:56.    Second open runner was Huw Oliver from Lochaber with Doug Bartholomew (HHR) taking third.   In the female race, Helen Leigh (inverness Harriers) took the honours with a fine run in 1:18:56, followed by Katie Wilson (HHR) and Lana Bucheim (Lochaber) in second and third respectively.  Many thanks to the race marshals for braving the elements on the hill and those helping in the hall.
