The race took place in near perfect conditions even the strong winds that prevailed earlier in the day when the races was being set up subsided for the start of the race. If first place was Nicholas Boyd from Moorfoot Runners with a great run in which he set a new men’s course record, in 23:37 seconds. Lorna Hellam of HHRC was first female with again a great run only 4 seconds outside her own record.
2nd place male was Nicholas club mate Daniel Lavin and 3rd was Christopher McCarron from Cambuslang Harriers. In the ladies local female and Lorna’s club mate Elysha Ramage was 2nd and in 3rd place came Laura Farquharson, Hamilton Harriers. It was great to see so many Hamilton Harriers come down for the race.
All the runners received a free bag of chips from the Moffat Chippy for their efforts, after expenses the race raised £75 for Moffat Mountain Rescue Team.
