"The race participation numbers are being held at 160 due to the hotel management, where parking and registration take place, are concerned about the number of cars looking to park in the hotel car park on race day. In particularly they don't want a repeat of last year. We have been informed that there was some poor parking at last years race, especially cars being parked on the grass.
I'm assisting the race organsiers in talks with the hotel and businesses in the area to see if they can increase parking capacity. We are hoping to have some answers to the issue this week. If we can resolve this matter, we can open up the numbers who can take part.
We ask all clubs can you consider using minibuses, public transport or bikes to get to the race? This would help so much. We will also be strongly encouraging car sharing.
Also, the decision has been taken to have a staggered started, the details of which are still being discussed".
