Scottish Hill Runners - Small Grants Scheme
Overview
Scottish Hill Runners (SHR) is offering small grants of up to £250 to support hill race organisers and hill racers in Scotland who have limited resources.
The aim of the scheme is to help sustain a wide and diverse programme of hill races across Scotland, recognising the increasing financial pressures facing both organisers and competitors.
Who Can Apply
Grants are available to:

Hill race organisers in Scotland

Hill racers (individuals) who are SHR members, resident in Scotland and competing in hill races
Priority will be given to applicants who demonstrate financial need and where the funding will make a clear difference.
What We Will Fund
The scheme is flexible and designed to respond to real-world needs. Funding may be used for (but is not limited to):
Race Organisers

Hire of portaloos
-
Measures that help reduce environmental or climate impact
-
Health and safety related costs or interventions
-
Other essential costs that support the safe and sustainable delivery of hill races

How to Apply
To apply, please email secretary@scottishhillrunners.uk with:

A brief outline of your request (maximum 500 words)

What the funding will be used for

How it will support hill racing or your participation in the sport
Applications will be considered by a small panel of Committee members twice a year (end March and end Sept), subject to available funds.
